January almost gone.
And winter officially arrives.
Waking up and peeking outside.
Covered in snow.
The ground obscured, coated with a delicate white blanket.
A first for this winter season.
Nature's way of turning down the volume knob.
Still.
Silence hangs.

You know, coffee tastes even better with the first snow.
Doesn't it?
The quiet is arresting.

Snow is lovely! I sooooo agree - nothing is lovelier than having a morning coffee all cozy when it's snowing. Always makes me wish for a sunroom.
You just reminded me of something . . . I'll see if I can find it.
